So, I know you guys have been around awhile and have been checking out my music...it may surprise you to know (or not because the quality was honestly a little shitty) that I recorded all of those songs using my iPhone's earbuds/mic jack. Since then, I have bought a condenser mic, so my music will sound a lot crisper! I sure hope you love it even more now & share it with friends and family! I have also decided to re-market my music under a stylized version of my regular-old, real name (Jill Seminaris): SMNRS. I have a few new tunes coming, too -- mostly some covers of hit songs from the 80s. Hi, everyone! I hope all of you are enjoying your summer and staying cool; it’s been crazy-hot in Southern California— last week, temps hit 119°!!! I was seriously miserable. So damn thankful for the person who invented air conditioning. Speaking of gratitude, thank you all so much for your love and support of my music. SMNRS is a stylized version of the artist, Jill's, last name: Seminaris. SMNRS is a Southern California native who has lived most of her life in a world of her own. Due to a genetic mutation of the gene that controls hearing, SMNRS experiences the world with a fairly significant hearing loss. Nevertheless, SMNRS began writing songs and poems when she was a young girl, and learned the basics of guitar later in life. Now 37 years old, divorced, with two children: Taylor (aged 16) and Gary (aged 13), SMNRS sings to encourage everyone to look past their own limitations and see a world of possibilities where they can achieve things they never knew were possible.
