About Sônia Katherine

Singer and songwriter, Sônia Katherine is a multiple artist. Graduated in music at UEMG, in classical ballet by Fundação Clóvis Salgado, (She performed for 20 years as a dancer and ballet teacher) and in theater by NET, she also has a degree in Dentistry from UFMG, where she won the prize for best student. She has several CDs recorded including six fully authored: Alto Astral, Mosaicos, Reverso Verso, Gratidão, Vontade, Sol e Lua. All of MPB and Sambas. (almost one hundred songs by the composer) Her compositions have a touch of optimism, joy, concern for the planet, animals and personal development. She puts her mark on samba and MPB with delicacy and femininity.
