Sadly, I don't speak Germany and cannot understand the lyrics, so my review will be for the melody and music. The song has an old world sing along quality about it. Back in the the day many movies featured these kind of songs. Your delivery is seductive and fitting the mood of the song. The instrumentation again works for this type of period piece. The violin selections in the song work very well. Very entertaining!

A modern cabare´ type musik. Wonderful. Very nice voice. Strings sounds stiff. Its samples I guees and ofcourse a matter of costs. I like this, a tradition and with a new original input. And also nice to hear something on other language than english.

Natürlich ist es schwer einen Song, den die große Marlene Dietrich einst gesungen hat zu spielen, aber- und dieses ABER muss groß geschrieben werden, ABER hier ist es gelungen. 1932 hatte Friedrich Hollaender den Song für die Diva geschrieben und er wurde zu einem Hit. Was war das für ein Schock damals, wenn eine Frau sang, sie gehöre sich ganz allein, wo doch gerade in Deutschland genau das Gegenteil gewünscht war. Schwierig also fast 100 Jahre später diesen Song wieder aufzunehmen, denn wir haben das 21. Jahrhundert un die Sprengkraft des Textes ist weg. Gut gelungene Version. Sehr schön gesungen und geschmackvoll instrumentiert. Chapeau Madame Solvig!

But the songs feel reminds me of something that could have been used in a movie like Cabaret {liza Minnelli} It's always somewhat interesting to listen to songs in other languages as a singer because you can contemplate the vocal delivery.
