Hello Everyone, Hope you are all well out there in 2020, Not the best year for our planet but thank goodness we have music to help keep us going. Thought I'd send a quick update about what I've been up to in the last few months.
I've uploaded several music videos onto my You Tube page and done a few online concerts. Recently I've been bought a new recording device and I'm learning how to use Cubase ... so look out for some new songs and recordings. Hi everyone - I'm a singer songwriter, playing acoustic guitar.

My songs have been described as evocative, passionate, heartfelt and intimate. I'm influenced by lyrical word driven writers such as Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Bonnie Raitt, Beth Hart to name a few. I've been compared to a wide range of female vocalists, from singers as diverse as Tracy Chapman and Joni Mitchell. I guess that's because I love to sing across so many different genres and have a wide range to my voice. with my vocals being variously described as dark and blue, powerful and enthralling, the crystal clear “voice of an angel”, and “soulful and sublime”. Blues, Roots, Contemporary folk & rock music, Soul and jazz all influence the feel behind my songwriting. The words usually come first and then I wrap an tune around them and play around with some rhythms to get the feeling I want.

For a time I sang in a duo called Blue Ivory singing classic jazz standards and blues. Sadly my keyboard player decided to follow other projects, so I'm currently looking for another accompanist .
I've been performing at fairs, festivals and pubs in and around Mid Wales and Shropshire for several years - including International Eisteddfod for five successive years, Ludlow Fringe Festival, Farmer Phils Festival, The Women’s Festival in Llangollen, Welshpool Music Festival, Landed Festival in Shropshire, Workhouse Shrewsbury Christmas Light switch on, Big Busk, Gig Fest in Oswestry, International Eisteddfod & Live performance on the BBC Radio Shropshire Genevieve Tudor Folk show.
