Sárkánykönny (~Tears of the Dragon) was founded by Hungarian larpers in 2007, becoming the first larp-themed band in Hungary. Our genre can be defined as acoustic folk-fantasy or fantasy inn music, since we are willing to create the atmosphere of a fantasy inn. Our songs are about almost everything can be heard of in a fantasy tavern, such as:
- glorious battles
- great heroes and heroines
- legendary feasts, parades and drinking
- dwarves, elves, orcs, fairies, leperchauns - yes, written this way
- and many more.

After an expansion and some changes in the crew we released our very first album in 2011, titled Régi idők hajnalán (~At the Dawn of Old Times). Also in this year we had to keep a pause which took for almost five years. In 2016, however, we decided to renew the band - now with a greater perspective and a clearer vision. In 2024 we have released a new album titled Főnix (~Phoenix), representing our resurrection from our ashes.
