The one thing that keeps my faith in woman power is the group of strong women in the 1920's who bravely took on the battle to win the right to vote. Many of them went to jail but eventually they prevailed. In fact when the statue of Liberty had it's grand opening in the 20's, all the boats surrounding the statue (the statue of a woman representing America with all it's hopes and dreams) were filled with MEN. There was only one boat with women and it was indeed these bold women – the suffragettes.
As late as 2012 women from Afghanistin were setting themselves on fire to escape. Women often were condemned of sex crimes and their noses were cut off. The pics were disturbing. Women in the military are often raped multiple times and not much is done about it.
Woman you are half this world!
