Stephen William Tarak

My son has been very sick. He is a three time kidney transplant patient. Now, having Covid. He has been hospitalized for a month. Suffice it to say I've been a bit distracted. You may follow his story on my Facebook page. I have found the time both challenging and productive. I have a new song to share the first week of March. Appreciate your support and prayers for my son.

I want to thank each of you for listening. I hope that something you've heard here has spoken to you. Music is the way I communicate. Your kind words and support go deep with me. So again - thanks for listening. I am amazed, and humbled. I love having the ability to play an instrument or two, sing, write songs, and share them. I've learned that every one is a story - a person, a place, or an experience given to me by my creator. Although I have written many songs, in different styles, I've never forgotten where it all came from. Music is a gift given, to be cultivated and explored, and shared with others. I once thought nothing I did musically was "good enough". I thought it never would be. But I learned something. Nothing that God ever did in my life was a fail. Every song says something, and likely will tell you more about me than I could ever say. I'm nothing really. But I do have a gift. And I'll never forget who gave it to me. - Stephen 8/27/21

So Winter is a memory and the warm Spring breezes are blowing again ! Man it feels good! The new recordings are moving along and learning the new gear has been a blast. Technology ROCKS! It's great to see venues opening up to live shows again. I'm looking forward to performing this Summer!

12-17-2020 I lost a friend to this Covid stuff. I'm a man of great faith, but I am sometimes left with more questions than answers. I'm aware of one thing - our time is short. I'll use this musical gift until I"m face to face with the One who gave it to me. Whoever you are and whatever you do, I hope you do it with all that is in you, with passion and without regret. There is new music here and my heart's hanging on my sleeve. I hope you find something in the songs that you can hold on to. Peace - Stephen

Hey everyone! Summer has come and it's time again for sunny days, warm nights, summer breezes and MUSIC! We have all shared in some incredible times. Now, let's share them together in peace with family and friends, and share some love with those around us. Music speaks a language all it's own - and to everyone. It soothes. It heals. It reaches the places deep inside. I'm stoked to be a part of the many incredible Indiana musicians and artists sharing their gifts and talents with you. It's time again.

Let's do this !!

I've been looking at the world around me. The many changes and incredible events and people. A very cool aspect of the times is the many, many artists, musicians, bands, singers and songwriters that seemed to come out of nowhere - sharing their musical gifts with the world. How cool is that? I've even had the blessing of many people looking and sharing the music I've posted here. It took me to #1 in Indiana several times. And I'm truly thankful. I've seen some AMAZING talent in the past few months. It's really inspiring. I wrote a song awhile back called "Time goes by". The song is about using every moment we have to the fullest. One line in it : "ya got to move it or you lose it 'cuz you know that the time goes by" - says it all. Some say life is what you make it, and I'd agree. I'm choosing peace. I'm choosing love. I'm choosing to look at the people around me through different eyes. And you know, this world is filled with beautiful people. I'd encourage you all to do the same. Stop in again. The music changes often. Perhaps you'll find something you like !

Hey everybody! January has been surprisingly warm in Indy, and the musical ideas are HOT! I've begun recording some new material ! The contemporary worship album is near completion, and I've started on a blues rock album called "Red, hot and blue". Love that name. I'll have some songs for you soon. The fire still burns ! The songs here have made it to #1 because of all of you. Super appreciative of the kind words and thoughts sent. It feels like family. Keep listening and thanks again for all your support! - Stephen
