Hi Everyone
I just added "In the morning" and deleted "Blue-eye boy". You may think that "In the morning" is not as good as some of my previous songs but I think the lyrics are important. It's a little bit rough but Nigel Gordon kindly accompanied me on it. It's about if you've had a bad experience you shouldn't dwell on it too much, just let yourself have some happiness.
I have to say that in the near future I may not be with N1M any longer as my subscription is ending soon. My smart phone isn't working and I can't hear any of the music and I have reported this but still can't hear any of the other songs although they are good. I haven't mad my mind up whether to continue or not, I'll have to speak to Nigel Gordon and Jeff Henry. It has however been a good experience and I'd like to thank everyone that has listened to the songs and recommended them.
Another reason for not continuing is that I'm getting old so I'm unlikely to make a career from music.
I hope you're all doing well and that this coming Christmas will be a good one.
Thanks again.
Best wishes

Hi Everyone
Nice to talk to you again and nice to have a new subscriber, Colette Columbirch. The new song is called "Life is for living" which I've put on because I may soon end with N1M and I'd like people to hear it. It may cause less people to listen to Steve & Chris because it's about old age again. I wrote it because I've lost a few friends but I've found that meeting the world again has made me happy again. Nigel Gordon was kind enough to record it and add instrumentation so it's a thank you to him. I will add other songs in the near future but they won't be about old age.
I hope you're all doing well and having a good autumn, and thanks again for listening.
Best wishes

Hi Everyone
Thanks for listening to my music, but in the near future I'm going to replace one of the songs on N1M with a newer one. One of the problems I have is that all of the songs on N1M seem to be equally popular.
There are two songs that I am contemplating putting on N1M. I'm going to Nigel Gordon to improve them, he's a talented musician who has played with me in the past. He's just returned from Canada and I'll be seeing him next Wednesday. The first one is about how you shouldn't dwell on a troubled past but instead aim to find happiness, and the second one which is newer but may be more successful is about how you should meet the world and do the things that you enjoy rather than sit at home dwelling on the past. Hopefully Nigel and myself will be able to work on all the songs in a few weeks.
Hope you've all had a good summer and that your lives are going well.
Best wishes

Hi Everyone
Hope you've enjoyed the summer. Sorry to say but I'm not going to upload a new song today as I don't know which one on N1M is doing the least well. I've written and co-written a few new songs but unfortunately my good friend Nigel Gordon, who is a talented guitarist, has gone to see his stepson in Canada so they won't be ready for a few weeks. The only thing I can suggest is to view Bezerdan where I co-wrote with my former neighbour Simon Bezer. We were very lucky to have Arnie Cottrell on lead guitar, Gerry Aubrey on bass, John Westage on cajon and John Cornwall-West on percussion, also production by Jeff Henry on "Don't be a spectator".
I have been tempted to add a new song today but I'd rather wait and finish the new songs and see which one is the best.
Have a good autumn
Apologies and best wishes

Hi Everyone
I'd just like to say thank for making "Blue eyed boy" number 1 on the Blues chart and "Morning has fled" number 1 again. I wrote "Blue eyed boy" when a union rep was having trouble with the management and years later I had trouble with the management of a different company. As I've said before "Morning has fled" is about autumn and middle age. It's helped me that some of my songs are popular. I'll look at N1M over the next two weeks and substitute the song that's the least popular for another.
I hope you're all doing well and that this summer is a good one. Thanks again.
Best wishes

Hi Everyone
Hope your summer's going well. You've made mine excellent as "Tom-a-Roonie" which is a blues song came top of the Blues chart for one day, and "Seems like a mystery" which is a country/rock song came top of that chart for two days. "Tom-a-Roonie" is about me mainly - as a teenager I was quite conservative but then I lost a job that I didn't want and my views about myself changed. With "Seems like a mystery", I'm agnostic but I respect Christians as it seems to give them calmness, happiness and strength so I wrote the song. Both of them were performed by my former band The Beggars Choice - Nigel Gordon played lead guitar, Julian Caesar played drums and Ken Wheeler played bass, the latter has now unfortunately passed away.
I feel as if I am now too old to pursue a music career but I'm very happy with the number of views I've had. Also I have been connecting with followers but unfortunately I'm not sure how it works. But thanks again.
Hope you're all well.
Best wishes

Hi Everyone
I've just uploaded "I've been living" to replace "Old". You'll be able to listen to "Old" on Amazon, Apple, Spotify and other streaming sites in about a week's time. Jonathan Cornick wrote the lyrics to both songs and I wrote the melodies, and sang and played guitar on the recordings. Nigel Gordon recorded "Old" and added extra instrumentation while Jeff Henry recorded and added instrumentation to "I've been living".
I've replaced "Old" with "I've been living" because they are both about getting older, but thank you for listening to "Old". I think I'm a bit rougher on "I've been living" but I hope you enjoy it, and I'd like to thank Jeff Henry for recording and adding instrumentation to it.
I'd like to thank everyone for listening to the songs and hope that you are all well and enjoying the summer.
Best wishes

Hi Everyone
Most recently someone that I know, Jeff Henry, has added instrumentation to some of my songs, that includes "New horizon", an old song. A lady that we know liked it and wanted a CD of it so I've added it to N1M. I wrote it when I was going through a difficult time and the future didn't look good. But luckily my life hasn't been as bad as I thought it might be. If anyone wants to hear "See your way through" it's on Spotify, Amazon and Apple. Next month I'll probably add a song that Jonathan Cornick wrote the lyrics to.
Not much has been happening but I've been enjoying myself. I hope that you are well and that this summer will be a good one.
Best wishes

Hi everyone
Just thought I should send a message, nothing much has been happening lately. But the number of views that you have been giving me has encouraged me to write more songs, even though they may not be as popular. My friend Jeff Henry is adding instrumentation to eight songs that I've recorded and hopefully next time I'll be able to add one of them to the list. I just want to thank you again for giving me confidence and hope everything is going well with you.
Best wishes

Hi Everyone
I hope you've had a good Christmas and New Year.
A couple of months ago I had an operation and it seems since then that I've lost a lot of interest in N1M, but I would like to thank everyone who has listened to my music and recommended it. I've uploaded an old song - the new version seems to be quite popular but unfortunately I don't have a good recording of it so I have uploaded the old version. I hope I gain interest in N1M again in the future.
I hope you're all doing well.
Best wishes

Hi Everyone
Hope you enjoyed Halloween. I've changed one of the songs - I have deleted "Death and murder" because it's a bit controversial and I had reached the maximum number of songs that you can have on the site. It will be available at a later date, maybe in two weeks' time, on all the digital channels like Apple Music and Amazon. I have replaced it with an old song called "Bluey youey you" and I was lucky to have Arnie Cottrell, a local musician, play lead on it.
I hope you're doing well and that you enjoy this new song.
Best wishes

Hi Everyone
Hope you're all doing well. I'd just like to thank the people who have recommended some of my songs over the last few days as there has been a large increase in the number of views. I'd also like to apologise to the people on my network as I don't know how it works.
The next time we speak to you we'll try and upload a new song, but because we've got the maximum number of songs we will have to delete one. The song we'll delete will be "Death and murder" as it is a bit controversial. I've noticed that in some of my songs I mention "Lord" - if you're interested in religious songs Fool4Christ release a lot of religious songs.
My wife and I did a gig Friday night but only one person turned up - I don't think fame is going to happen somehow (hahaha)
I hope you're all doing well and enjoying the year.
Best wishes
Steve
