About Steve J Parsons

Steve J Parsons is an original purveyor of rock n' roll music from St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. He is a singer, songwriter and musician who independently engineers all his own recordings. Steve has been actively involved in music since about the age of 17. It all began when he started messing around with an old Epiphone acoustic guitar which was sitting around the house collecting dust. There was no stopping him from that point on as he started to play bass and drums which would ultimately give him the ability to record his own compositions with a complete musical arrangement.
Parsons' style is one steeped in rock n' roll but regularly crosses over into folk, country and blues territories. His influences are wide ranging and diverse spanning the gamut from rock, r&b, blues, country, jazz, folk, punk, reggae and more. These elements have undoubtedly been important in shaping his sound, style and songwriting characteristics.
