STILLCHYLD is from Clinton, Iowa and fronted by female vocalist and pianist/keyboardist, Aleshia Bartels.
Stillchyld boasts a truly unique sound, full of melody and power.

The name Stillchyld has a lot of meaning to it, standing for the weak and suffering and telling you that we are not all "dead children inside"....we can overcome anything we want to be. Anything. We can see what we want and feel what we want, as long as you believe in yourself. Stillchyld is Anti - bully and raising more awareness and helping the depressed both young and old alike to learn how to cope with issues with self-harm among other problems people face every day.
"Stillchyld means a child who has died inside emotionally," explains Aleshia, "and no child should have to die inside emotionally. We as a band are here to show that life does not have to be so hard. YOU are your biggest influence in the end. Take your emotions and put them into your passion....your dream. Be who you want to be. Stand up for yourself and never let anyone tear you down, and never ever let what others think of your uniqueness get to you and make you change who you are. Don't change yourself just to please somebody else."

Formed in 2007, by the vocalist Aleshia, the power and drive behind the messages are clear and unmistakable.

The bands EP. album dropped in late 2010 and the band will take to the road in 2014 to promote it along with a brand new concept album in the underground works for early 2016.

Stillchyld has opened up for a few larger bands such as Dope, and As I Lay Dying along with August Burns Red, doing shows at The Rave in Milwaukee, WI and The House of Bricks in Des Moines, IA.


This band is full of passion, heart, and a serious drive to band people together and teach people how to keep their dreams alive, and never let anyone tear you down.
