The evolution of British Heavy Metal is Here!
Stormborn are a 5 piece powerhouse of metal – all over your face! Soaring Vocals, blazing Guitars, a Drummer and man that plays Bass, melted together to form a delicious feast of indulgent musical debauchery!
It was 2007 when Andy, Dave and Laurence – after years playing together (musically) – formed the band that would eventually grow to become Stormborn. They were joined by Carl and Steve towards the end of 2011, and immediately began production of their debut album. This album is due for release on December 14th 2012.The band have become well known for their unmissable Live show that brings together years of experience and untapped talent, receiving raving reviews from each and every event. Stormborn believe in not just music, but entertainment!
Stormborn is a very young metal band, which in a year and a half achieved quite a lot, recording and releasing an album (mixed/produced by Matt Hyde - Slipknot, Bullet For My Valentine, Trivium, Machine Head), touring up and down the UK and playing important festivals such as Bloodstock (UK) and Summer Breeze (Germany), where the band won the New Blood Award and a Record Deal with Century Media Records!
“Next up this evening were Stormborn, a five piece London based power/heavy metal group who bring to the stage a show that is deserving of any metal audience in the UK from the smallest bar right up to a major festival, they fill a gap in the UK Metal scene” – Planetmosh.com
“The first of the bands are STORMBORN (8.5) who blow any remaining cobwebs away from proceedings. Singer Carl Casagrande is a true front man, pacing the stage, interacting with the crowd at every opportunity and most importantly unleashing a series of high pitched cries of triumph as the band march into the final. With a day topping vocal performance, containing a melodic punch seen in very few unsigned bands Stormborn combine the steel coated leads and galloping riffs of Maiden with a more power metal edge which touches the likes of Edguy and Helloween. Out of all the bands today it is Stormborn who look ready to do some heavy damage” – Alan Hicks, Rock Matrix
