About String Board Theory

String Board Theory, originally based in Steamboat Springs for four years is now living in Denver/Boulder. Fresh off a break from touring all over Colorado and beyond, String Board Theory is gearing up to be better than ever, and do it right. String Board Theory is a "Groove Infused Funk Rock Band", focusing on the music to be their voice (not many vocals), our shows are high energy funky dance parties. They have played all over Colorado, as well as various spots in Utah, Montana, Idaho, and Washington, all with great responses and funky crowds.

SBT received great press on our Debut self titled album, released in February of 2013, really helping the draw of the band. In recent years, SBT has shared the stage with many genres, including such acts as The Malah, Infamous Stringdusters, Signal Path, Digital Beat Down, Yamn, Jet Edison, Springdale Quartet, Hot Soup, Good Gravy, White Water Ramble, Olora Brothers, The Sessh, Shakedown Street, Equal Eyes, Fareed Haque, Missed the Boat, Frogs Gone Fishin, 7 Walkers, and Banyan.
