Stronghold (Va)

Greetings to all. No matter where you are in the world everything seems very dark. But God is with us and will keep and protect us. Here in the US we are in the fight of a lifetime. A fight against unnecessary lockdowns, a fight against socialism and a fight for our God given rights as humans.
When "Stop Running From God" came on in 10 years in 2011it was a blessing from God and a message to be for warned, especially for in the US. Our culture has fallen very far away from God and his standards and is now bringing His Wrath upon our nation and the world. We must turn back and seek his face and allow Him to heal our nation. I ask each of you to pray that God would show HIs Mercy and Grace towards His people, that we may joyfully worship Him and not have to live in bondage.

God Bless you all and thank you for your love and support these past 10 years.

Greetings to all in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I hope this finds everyone doing well. As we enter into the Christmas season, as usual there is a multitude of distraction especially here in the US, but around the world also. It is Satan's plan to keep us from enjoying and celebrating the birth of the Savior of the world. But don't let that keep you from what's important this time of year. Share with everyone what this birth means. For Christ came to take away the sins of this world and bring everlasting life for all who will believe.

Our Savior was born at night in a cold and filthy cave or stall where animals were kept. It was unsanitary and filled with the stench of animal urine and dung. Yet God chose this place and he let it be know to the shepards, the wise men and kings that they may go and worship Him there. Jesus came and with Him He brought light into the world. He give you and I that light that we may shine it into the darkness and awareness of His goodness.

I hope that where ever you are things are going well for you. I wanted to let you know that our site now contains all 9 of the songs from our CD Stop Runnin From God. Things are coming together well as we set our sites in a slightly different direction. We will be playing on July 11th, 2015 at the River Room's "Summer Concert" in Chesapeake VA. We are looking forward to a great evening of praise, worship. We will be joined by Jennifer Umslot, Eight Pages Band and The Carpenter;s Union Band.

Oh and by the way theses songs are available for digital download at I Tunes, Amazon, and a dozen other sites. BE blessed everyone, hope to see ya down the road. :)

Just wanted to give and update to those of your who have stuck with us over the past year or so. I know it has been a very long time since I corresponded with you all. Stronghold has been through several changes in that time, overcoming near extinction on numerous occasions. Seems that the enemy got a pretty good foothold in the ministry for a while. Causing kaos, casting doubt on the validity of the ministries purpose and creating despair in my leadership. Many times we had an opportunity to play somewhere, and we prepared and as the day grew close, I began to be bombarded with doubt and kept asking myself "WHY" do I bother. But when we got where we were going and the music started is seemed that all was right with God, even though the enemy was hammering hard on us.

Lately I've had the feeling of being "overlooked" the songs on the last album all came straight from God, no way I could have done them on my own, the messages contained in the songs are hard hitting and straight shooting. They are words of encouragement, and words that cause a since of urgency for the listener. But we realize that the enemy doesn't want people to hear them. We have been on the various "on air" and internet stations since 2011. And to be honest of all the sites ....FB, indiehaven, and others, N1M has given me the most encouragement, Thank You!

Now that we are getting back on track, with a new and refreshed band and purpose I am focusing more effort in promoting on this site, I have upgraded my membership here to be able to share with those of you who have been so faithful to us and the music. SO coming soon , maybe even later today, there will be more songs and pics for your to enjoy, share, and be uplifted by. All of us in Stronghold, Mickey (me), Ann, John Young (new bassist) and John Hopkins (new drummer) ask for your prayers as we continue to fight the good fight in the ever changing presence of evil in this world.
