A little about Stu "Bear" and music
Well, I formed my first group in 1967, when I was 15 years old. Three friends and myself formed "Kameleon" and remained together (doing mostly very hard rock ala Blue Cheer) until we broke up for various reasons in 1972. Mostly we toured from Long Island New York along the Atlantic coast to Virginia. It was a great time and quite a crazy time. I was very fortunate to have met many fantastic musicians over the years, Daryl Hall, Tim Moore, Maury Mendelssohn, Jim Croce and Todd Rundgren in the Upper Darby days. But one in particular, who I was able and proud to call a good friend was the late Harry Chapin. We met after a concert in Allentown, Pennsylvania and remained in touch until his untimely death in a car accident in Long Island New York. I miss him greatly to this day and his words and encouragement show in my music to this day. "Write what you want, not what others want you to" .... So I write, Country, Pop, Hard Rock, 70's Rock, Celtic, Texas Swing, Instrumentals, Country Ballads .. basically what I want and enjoy writing.
Another performer I was fortunate to know personally was the late Dickie Peterson the singer/bassist with the legendary hard rock originators Blue Cheer. Unfortunately we lost Dickie to cancer a few years back. He was a hard rocker and a very very nice person. He was always great to chat with and any chance I got to visit him while they were on tour was memorable.
So here I am in 2017, I released a CD 3 years ago with 13 original songs. It is called "Bear On The Loose" and is available from me. If you might be interested in a copy, drop me an email for prices.
