Song Reviews

Sweet song

The song has a sweet vibe in the beginning. The music is catchy in the intro. I bet this song rocks live. I like the guitar riffs. The music seems to compliment itself pretty well. The solo sounds pretty sweet too.

What a good suprise

I was relieved when I heard this song cause it actually remind me of something that should be on the original Heavy Metal Movie soundtrack... While the aliens are in space sniffing coke lol. It's been a while since humans heard great lyrics... we're used to that dance shit that lyrics are about asses or fame...Great song guys! Keep up the work of actual music with actual instruments.

I Like This...

Good work Guys. Very loud, hard and solid sound. Like how it has depth. Singing slightly reminds me of Molly Hatchet singer from 1970's, which is a good thing. Tightness of the band, is way cool. Keep doing your thing. Rock on! Entertain the World, one song at a time! Sincerely Edward Westbrook

Great!

Interesting hard rock fro USA. Good sound on the clean guitar at the beginning, maybe too acid distortion on the next guitars. Good vocals and good tune on the voice. Maybe an out of time in the middle of the song, but good! Nice job guys, greetings from Italy!

Let It Go

Gentlemen, From this review i give you five stars. Production was very well, guitar work was excellent. Although I did enjoy the vocal work, I found that it sounded a little thin, I still enjoyed the song very much! Keep up the great work...!!!

Song review

Great rockin' tune, love the bluesy feel to it... Again, catchy vocals, the guitar main riff is the hook of the song in my opinion... As a recording engineer, i would of doubled the guitar main track, hard pan them both left and right and use it to dynamically boost the pre-chorus and chorus, and keep it that way as well in order to support the lead part... The song is well constructed and arranged with its different parts, though the part with the punches and drum fills, i would of used only at the second and last chorus, and not before the second verse... The lead part could also be cut in half, all in the perspective of having the song under 5 minutes, closer to 4:30, i always think songs can be longer when played live to an audience, but in a studio format, songs can be streamlined to keep listener's attention, since today's younger audiences have a very short attention span... You guys rock, keep up the great songwriting...

Let it go review

Hi Submissive Soul, 1 / Mix and production : It's really creepy, there is some breathe, the high medium are in front the track. 2 / Music : Guitar riffs are catchy, drums is excellent. Lack of bass. 3 / Voice : A little noisy. 4 / Overall : Too bad the mix is not to high of the music. Good luck

Submissive Soul "Let it Go"

Refreshing vibe. A bit like Krokus and Accept, but in a good way. Singer sounds pissed! Let me guess, singer fronts the band sans guitar? Kinda get that visual. Also, the guitar tone and riffs are a bit predictable and boring, not quite up to the exciting groove and thrist of the beats. Also bring the vocs down just a tad as they're distorting. Lots of promise here though.

Swamp Brew Rock 'n' Roll

Today we will be listening to Submissive Souls "Let it Go".... The opening of the song gives you a pretty good idea of what's in store...Overall this track gave me a kind of early grunge feel with rock vocals. I want to say that this is reminiscent of early Alice in Chains or later Soundgarden... yet, Submissive Soul has their own feeling and vibe which helps differentiate them from the previous two bands mentioned. The recording is tight and all the performances were spot on...I think I liked the gritty vocal performance the best, what I liked the least was the lack of a guitar solo or secondary guitar melody, at 5 minutes I find that the listener can get a little over-saturated on the same thing repeated again and again. That's not to say that this takes away from the song, just my humble opinion ;) Without a doubt, Submissive Soul deliver the goods once again. The song is catchy and original but familiar enough to connect with the everyday listener...get your daily dosage of Bayou Hard Rock and thank me for it later...Good Stuff! Christopher Carrion xxx

Submissive Soul - Let It Go

One thing that always gets me with music is the chance that I can hear something new or I can hear something familiar. This song has a mixture of both the familiar and of the new and fresh. I like the song but I don't "love this song" and the reasons are very trivial. The guitar tone in itself isn't very exciting to me. It's not thick enough in the mix. Your rhythm tracks should be at the very least double tracked to add depth and thickness to the guitar. Also when I hear the drum fill I feel something is missing maybe some more reverb on the drums or a pick slide behind it. Bass seems not existent or buried in the mix and vocals could be slightly grittier, in my opinion, to make you sound a bit more pissed off. All of my critiques are about the recording and not the actual performance of the song. I'm sure live this song probably kicks some serious ass. The hardest thing to do in Metal is capturing that "Live" feel and get people to understand what you are all about with a seriously awesome recording.

Great Rock

Great rock song, with somehow a 70's touch to it. You can hear Submissive Soul have their heart and soul put into it. It has a great drive and great vocals.

Congratulations!!!!

A very good song to listen to. The energy she spends is indescribable. All this accompanied by a rock climate vocal and well arranged. The guitar is a musical based on keeping all the music expression. The song is very good, as well as harmony it has its own identity, that is, is a song that does not look like no other. A very good battery and a sensational dynamics.

Let this go

The song has a nice groove but the quality of guitars recording ain't great and it bothers a little bit. Anyway, the groove makes it a good song and the chorus is very nice too! It's something subliminar, but I disagree of the classification as "metal". Congratulations

Sexy

I'm no good at bullshitting, but I like this for some reason. I'm not exactly sure was to why though. Maybe it's because it sounds so edgey and rough. Maybe it's because of all the shouting. I do sometimes like shouting. But maybe it's because of the chord progression things. I really have no idea why.
