SUSAN RONSON Originally from Ontario, Canada, Susan comes from a family of entertainers. Her Great Grandmother played piano for the silent movies and her Grandmother, Helen Ronson, was a famous singer on Canadian Radio. By the age of 5, Susan was performing with her family all over Canada. She inherited her Grandmother’s noticeable singing voice. Soon Susan became a featured part of the touring show, turning heads from coast to coast throughout Canada. After moving to the United States, her career continued to soar, as she gained the attention of renowned vocal coach, Bill Stoker, who coached stars like, Johnny Mathis and others. After listening to Susan sing, Bill said, “What I have to teach others to do........ you do naturally.” Although Susan sings many different styles of music, Country music is her favorite. After winning first place in a state wide Country Music Talent Show, Susan landed a recording contract in Nashville, recording her own album with Waylon Jennings band. A Nashville sound engineer told her, “You’re what Nashville is all about!” While in Nashville, Susan was introduced to some of the stars from Grand Ole Opry, such as, Jean Shepherd and others. After hearing Susan sing, a member of the Grand Ole Opry told her, “ You have everything we look for in a country star.” Loretta Lynn’s daughter, Sissy told her, “You’re fantastic!” One of Susan Star’s specialties is doing a Patsy Cline tribute. If you haven’t heard Susan’s portrayal of Patsy Cline, you are really missing out. “It is absolutely one of the best.” So quotes Patsy’s own cousin. As a song writer and a performer, Susan’s talents continue to win the hearts of fans across the country from California to New York and as far away as Germany and Switzerland. Her performances have taken her from appearances at the MGM Grand, in Las Vegas, to concerts with Symphony Orchestras. Listening to Susan Star is an experience that you will remember for a lifetime.
