Madera (formerly SWNomadic) has been performing as an ensemble since 2005 around San Diego and the West Coast of the US. Now a quartet, Madera specializes in fuzing elements from world music cultures Madera features singer/songwriter Andre Elias on vox, guitar, and various percussion. Violinist Adam Ainsworth blazes it up with a touch of bluegrass, jazz, middle-eastern, and classical stylings. Karthik Suresh plays his legendary 6-string fretless electric bass and upright. Kasey Wallrath rocks the drums and a variety of bells and whistles.

Madera's first album Lumination, features 12 tracks focusing on the more acoustic side of Madera. Guest performers include Toni Pope on vocals and effects and Tito Sandez on congas. Madera's new album is already in the works, showcasing their heavier electric tunes with more bhangra and bellydance vibes.
