Passion for songwriting started at age 10 with a desire to compose music to touch the heart. Entertaining started in high school with dreams of bringing joy to people through music. His first recording experience was in college scoring a lead guitar track for a co-worker. Once bitten twice shy, he continued to perform, compose and record his own music. Growth in the art of songwriting he still writes and records music now as Syxgun. Steve began teaching as a way to pass on the knowledge of guitar to others. He currently teaches privately of all ages. He's also involved teaching young people in an Elementary after school program.
