Like me on facebook @ (expired link) Terrance “Tank Skee” Grace was born in Pensacola, Florida, on March 13, 1988. Tank Skee has four siblings and is the middle child of two brothers and two sisters. Throughout childhood, Terrance and his family moved around all around Pensacola, from one low-income neighborhood to another. Being surrounded by environments infested with poverty, crime, drugs, and hard times caused him to fall victim to such. Tank Skee was a troublesome hardheaded child. Halfway into his 10th grade year Tank Skee was expelled due to fighting. By the time he was expelled, Tank Skee had already shifted his interest from confounds of the school system to the freedoms of street life. With the absence of positive role models the up incoming rapper turned to the streets in order to provide for himself. Tank Skee spent his days hanging out with friends and listening to artists like Tupac, Pimp C, and Soulja Slim. Lil Boosie, Webbie, Trae, and Z-ro are also rappers that influenced Tank Skee as he maneuvered his way through adolescence. In the beginning, Tank Skee viewed rapping as an everyday part of life as he would hang out with friends and freestyle on a tape recorder. He later realized his natural talent as friends requested features from him on their songs. What started out as “just for fun” turned into discovering his talent with words, a way to provide for his family, and a love for music. Tank Skee is an amazing father to a beautiful daughter, Nadiyah (age 5), and newborn son, Tahj. The rapper credits his children for being the moving force behind him leaving his fast paced lifestyle behind and also inspiring him to pursue music. Although rapping is his true passion, this self-made independent artist also recorded his first mixtape on his own. He considers his music as “get money, street rap, trap, come up music”. His message is “you can have and live any way you choose if you believe.” Tank Skee’s music is original and his unique “straight from Pensacola” style isn’t like anything you’ve ever heard. His musical goals are to be remembered as a legend, to make a positive impact on the lives of many, and sell out arenas worldwide.
