Review

I thought it was country and western when it started, but I was well wrong. It’s like massive attack meets the Beatles Slightly crazy, though melodic hypnotic and trance like The vocals could be a little better, I’d like to hear some more of them as when they come in they really add to the feel of the tune. The dub step is a nice little touch shame that it didn’t kick in early. It is a little samey but that’s what some folk like. All in all it’s a good track. JC

Nice Laid Back Track

This is a very well written track nice and smooth flowing melodies. The drums are nicely eq'd and are at the right level that they should be, still leaving the vocals on top as the interesting mysterious feeling and almost eerie feeling. There is a nice progression about half way through and the songs slowly comes back around to end back the way it started . This would make a sweet ending tuned to nice dj mix. Well Done Mate!

Good to play in a DJ set.

The track starts with 2 perfectly played and recorded instruments, piano and guitar, that play different melodies which complete each other to one deep theme. Drums and bass drop in groovy, also a hope making vocal sample, perfectly mixed flat, how i love it. After about 3 minutes of repeating a second bassline drops in, a wobble bass which, in my ears, doesnt get under 80Hz, have new colour but, in my opinion, could be more rhythmic. The track is absolutely suitable as a dj-tool because of a wounderful melody, good arrangement, very good mixing and mastering, but for an alone standing song iwould think about: Is it enough material for 5 minutes? sometimes it seems it is looped too often. Could there be more variations? Could work an "anti-theme", like different melodyline in the middle (WHAT is not the end?),a bridge or a complete break down? But well done!

potential

I like the music it is chill most of the time , I would like to hear it with out some of the effects , It does sounds like it was fun to create the sound.some times over indulging you lose the original idea. But the song is fun.

Hypnotic

Very nice vibe... The groove really has a great syncopated rhythm that compliments the piano accompaniment throughout the track... The mix is clean and the vocals sit well on top of the bed of tracks while still keeping with the hypnotic vibe... Well done!

Haunting melody

I love the haunting melody throughout most of your song. While you create this with the echo vocals, it also has a sense of an uplifting feel. This is not the end, which I think are your repeated lyrics throughout, elicits an attitude of support and perseverance. I could see this song within the score of a movie. Nice job

CHILL WITH TARQA

Unlike anything I've heard recently in this genre or anyother. A very chill and unique take on the usual sounds you would expect to hear in a dubstep track, excellent production work and a well placed song structure.

Fresh

This is a really interesting and fun track. A great blend of instruments and hypnotic. Well produced and mastered. I am inspired by the overall creativity and experimental feel. Though a bit repetitive, that gives it sense of humor. Great job, keep doing what you love.

This one caught be by surprise...

I must say that the description of this track really intrigued me. "Acoustic" and "DubStep" are not things that I generally imagine together. While it doesn't exactly sound like the latter, I am impressed. It is very much an acoustic rendition of that style, and the results aren't just novel, they are really cool. Totally fun track to groove out to. I can't really think of how one might get closer to the style advertised than this. Great job!

This is definitely not the end

Ah yes,and a big warm welcome by Tarqa with the song "This is not the end" , the sound by which, with the use of the piano/guitar riff along side with the driving hi'hats sound, creates the background that gives the piece it's trance like feel. There's no need to fill the piece with any more words than it already has, as it can breathe along nicely as it ticks along.Well done Tarqa, keep on doing it. .

Good instrumentation

I like the sound of the strings and piano. The weight on the keys sounds good and the electronic drums go well with this style. The synth sound wobbles in and out in a cool way too. There is a lot going on this track and it comes together well. The sound is a bit hypnotic, in a good way and has a soft rock feel. The drum and bass fits into the overall rhythm but sounds a little out of place to me. That's just my opinion though. Overall, it's well put together. I'd like to hear more lyrics and vocals as well.

Movie trailer

The production on this song, while it definitely sounds home produced, is quite interesting. I could hear this in a movie trailer or even during a long artistic-film break of an indie movie. I must be too old to know what dubstep is, and this may fall into the category, but I think that for a 5 minute song it needs to travel somewhere different in the center portion for dynamic effect. I'd love to hear this track beefed up in a grander studio setting. I would prefer to hear it as a drop-in segment in tv/film rather than an album cut due to the nature of it's repetitive chord pattern. But, that doesn't mean it's not a great sounding, artistically creative track. More from this artist/writer!

Super Uber Sound!

Many people have overlooked dubstep because it is so different but "This is Not the End" may change their hearts. This track is layered in such a unique fashion that it may potentially bring in new listeners from other genres such as r&b and hip-hop. I rarely come across songs that I fall in love with at first listen and this is one of those rare occurrences. Thank you for your art!

This tune unleashes imagination

I have a feeling for real good electronical compostions. Best conditions to write something about this music. The ausoustic based guitar introduction comes immediately and the piano starts softly with an distinctive theme. The keyboards beaming the listeners into a cosmos of different syntheziser sounds and creating immediately a great space with soft played melodies in the backround. All sounding really professionell. The chorus sounds in a varied pitch range and a drum & bass rythm forcing the music constantly. This composition is a great mixture of Electro, Ambient and Drum & Bass. The musician has a feeling for music over contact with the soul. These recording unleash the imagination and touches distant galaxies. It is worth listening! I´m sure, you will like to add it. Let others know your recommendation.

Not the end

Nice vocals, I like the dubstep in this tune, timing makes it feel more psychedelic. Has a bit of a British sound but feels like flaming lips a little and maybe a basic beta band sound too... nice.
