Hello folks, after 27 years in a roll of playing Houston's World Champion bar-b-que cookoff, the mayor canceled the event. Houston Live Stock Show and Rodeo have raised 100's of millions of dollars on these events for FFA students scholarships. Anyway the Texas Bluzcatz won't be playing this year and that sucks. It looks like it might be turning around here locally for us, we'll see. I want to thank ya'll for you support and please stay safe.

Hello folks, all the music venues are still closed here in Texas. I don't think that Texas will open up until after the first of the year. My old boss Mr. Roy Head died last week. I was his band leader and lead guitarist for twelve years. There is a memorial coming up on Oct. 31. His son, Sundance Head is putting this together along with his management. It will take place in Porter, Texas where Roy lived for ever on the river. He was a blast to work for and he loved the blues, that's why I was there. Ya'll take care of yourselves and thank you for supporting music.

My band, The Texas Bluzcatz has been dormant since the end of February.. Texas opens up the music venue, we start booking gigs again and all of a sudden all of the music venues shut down and we lose all those gigs. We don't know when we'll get to play again. My drummer got covid19 and was in the hospital 10 days. He is home now by himself. He has to test negative 2 time before his family can come home. I hope that there is an end to this and nobody else catches this virus. Stay safe and thank you for supporting live music.
