Is Rock Still Dead? The Axia is a hard rock band out of Central California. The Axia offers a unique sound blending old school prog rock and heavy metal with a touch of something psychedelic. They have shared the stage with such acts as; Ted Nugent, Filter, Drowning Pool, (expired link), and many more major touring acts. Two albums have been released The Axia self entitled album 2007, Another unreleased album was recorded in 2009 but due to member changes abandoned. In 2014 The Axia released Ice Cold Blue. Currently new material has been stacking up and a professional recording studio has been built for Axia after a year long construction effort.
As of 2016 The Axia is recording new material in hopes to play live again when a permanent drummer can be found. We will play again!!! Until then Lead vocalist Chad Land is doing mellow acoustic side projects in the home town of the band San Luis Obispo, California and seeking dedicated rockers to share the stage with.
