Inside my head music exists, how I get it out is not what makes me a musician....the music itself is all that matters.
The Cordovox Project is David Polido. Born in Lisbon, in 1961, is was at a very early age that my passion for music began when listening to my older brother's records from The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Kinks, to mention just a few. Always wanted to learn and play drums, but life was hard at the time, so I decided to self-learn. On the late 90's I formed a blues band, that never left the rehearsal studio. Never quiting, in the early 2000's I got myself interested in music production so I dived into the Cubase world and, in 2006, I released my first album, titled "About Time" made entirely with samples and construction kits, adding some synths only. Then, after a 16 year hiatus I finally got back into music production "Homemade Style" and, at the end of 2022 I released my second album, titled "Second Coming". With the creativity flowing, in February, 2023, a third album is released, simply titled "III". In the meantime, while creating, got myself involved in producing 2 albums for diferent artists, one of them from UK, with pretty good results and nice feedback. And I also participated playing drums on 2 tracks for the soundtrack of a theater play. In this very moment, I released my 4th album, titled "Reflections" and I am actually working on 2 more albums, one of them, including other artists in a straight collaboration. Both albums are expected to be released next year. I was also a former DJ and I'm actually hosting 3 radio shows.
