Song Reviews
Focused and straightforward
A coherent and straightforward rock number with interesting tempo changes that don't destroy the flow of the song. Excellent guitar sounds, powerful but yet transparent. No unnecessary gimmicks or boasts, just a focused and concentrated performance. And, as I notice quite some minutes after listening, a hookline that keeps humming around in my head. Well done.

Solid Americana Rock
"On the Cusp" by The Diligents is a good solid Americana rock track, showcasing a perfect mix and production quality. The modern, young-sounding vocals add a fresh twist to the genre. However, some suggested improvements could elevate the song further. The tempo change feels unnecessary and disrupts the flow; sticking to a steady rhythm might serve the track better. The metal riffs throughout the song are a bit overbearing and might be more effective if reserved only for the chorus, allowing damped chords to carry the verses. Incorporating more variations could add depth and keep the listener engaged. Overall, a strong foundation with room for refinement. ????

"On The Cusp" of greatness!
Upon your very first listen to "On The Cusp" by The Diligents (who hail from Wilmington, Delaware), you cannot help but be deeply impressed by their level of musicianship, their songwriting skill and the song's exceptional production values. While the band's musical influences are evident, they have achieved a unique sound that is all their own. Looking forward to more from this terrific band!

Cusp of Success
One of the things I enjoy most about Number One Music artists is the newfound ability to hear music from around the world by singers who I'd never have the chance to listen to otherwise. That, in itself, is a great thing. Here, with this song the vocals straining shares the singers passion mixed with the powerful guitars giving this one of the strongest performances I've listened to all year. Nicely done.

Enjoyable, uptempo, good vibe... dynamic.
Well this trio obviously has listened to a few RUSH tunes (and others) in their lives... and they learned a lot about song composition, dynamic and flavoring a tune with good lyrics... I like it! And I suspect a lot of old prog rawkers will also... ANd these guys added some new twists and turns... ( I my humble opinion), the new generation of prog/modern rockers will also love it... Now for the part everyone dreads but here we go. I think during the begining the 'fuzz" should be left out and a cleaner guitar sound would make the intro and the initial lyrics more hearable to draw the listener in to the story you are telling and also make the vocalist's lower range come thru a bit better up until the first "Distance Between You and Me!" lyric line... After that KICK AZZ... I also think if the vocalist could grab a good breath before going up after some of these really high notes he could carry the note all the way to the point it belongs. A couple of pitchie places BUT that could just be the earbuds or monitors sound level. BELIEVE ME, I have had that problem more than once... Those two points are about all the critique I have... WELL FRICKIN DONE Fellows! Great Song and I wish you much success with it! Johnny Mutt
