Thank you to everyone who has been listening to my songs. N1M tell me I've reached more than 25,000 plays now and they plan to feature The Family Grave in their New Acoustic Artist category for the next 3 weeks which is very cool. I hope everyone is keeping well and keeping safe, much love Jon x

Hi friends and fans,

It was a busy year last year. Not only did we release two videos (Happy Song and Mr Train Driver, both available on YouTube) but we have also completed our album 'Happy Songs' which should be out on (expired link) next month. If you're not already following us on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter please do as they're a good way to keep up with what we're doing.

Right now I'm writing some new songs as part of the February Album Writing Month (FAWM) project so there will be lots of new songs to record. The Music Never Stops!

Hey, if you're interested in The Family Grave, we are due to release a new single called Mr Train Driver which will be available on Bandcamp from September 3rd.

If you still buy vinyl records there's also going to be a super-limited 7 inch single released via the Super8Sync label.

Oh hi,

THE FAMILY GRAVE will be on Chat And Spin radio tomorrow morning (Friday) at 0835 GMT which I think is about 0335 tonight in US East Coast money and either 0135 or 0235 if you're in Texas or on the West Coast (and still awake). Internet Radio can be confusing!

Don and Ian's chat and spin show is entertaining - lots and lots of varied guests, mostly with a cute English accent ;-)

They'll be chatting to me briefly before playing my song 'Monday Morning' which is off my collection 'Everybody is Flawed' and has some lovely wonky piano by my friend (expired link).

There's a new song 'Happy Song' which I wrote a few years ago but ought to be on my next album.

And there's a live version of the song 'Please don't go to University' from my latest collection 'Everybody is Flawed' which a lot of you have been enjoying here on N1M and other places.

I wrote the whole album in a month, and recorded it quickly at Tom's House, with my friend Martyn adding some bass and keyboards to some of the tracks. Nothing funky, nothing loud, it's our usual one-take, quick-fire lo-fi style, Do take a listen and I hope you like it.
