TheGroovaLottos will be performing at the Out of the Blue Too Art Gallery on February 12, 2017, with proceeds to benefit the Musical Youth Mentoring program under Song Keepers, Ltd. The program pairs up arts and media professionals with teens and young adults who aspire to enter media arts as a profession. The GroovaLottos are a rising, powerhouse soul-funk-blues trio, comprised of award-winning, veteran touring and studio session musicians. Heralding from the Wampanoag, Cherokee and Choctaw communities, the band explores the native content of soul, funk and blues through their original and traditional songs. Said to play with their souls instead of their hands and operating under a philosophy of 'music as medicine'; they are considered the 'soul-funk journeymen of Native America.' A favorite at regional festivals, powwows, community concert halls and venues; The band came to international attention earlier their debut single, "Do You Mind...?" broke on radio on the "Direct From Muscle Shoals" radio show in Alabama and entered the top ten of the World Indie Blues/ Americana Charts in April; remaining there for 38 weeks. Their debut album is slated for release in May/ June of 2017. They were featured in the December issue of Native People Magazine. less

The GroovaLottos are a powerhouse, Native American soul-funk-blues band, comprised of veteran studio session and touring musicians and singers. Thier debut single, "Do You Mind...?" spent 41 weeks in the top ten of the Americana/ Indie Blues Charts and was a top nominee for "Best Blues Recording" in the Native American Music Awards.
