Happy New Year to everyone. I hope 2019 will be better than 2018. Jude 1:21 Keep yourselves in the Love of God... I am presently working on a novel and writing music...My plan was to concentrate on writing a String Quartet and other orchestral works. I really need to get back to that. So what happens...I am reading the Gospel of John and the Lord gives me this song...Peace out...Michael...!!

If you are getting married this is the song for the day. Straight from the Pen of the world's greatest lover: Solomon!
Excerpts from The Song Of Solomon.
(Woman)
Your lips cover me with kisses
Your love is better than wine
There is a fragrance about you
The sound of your name recalls it
Take me with you and we’ll run away
Be my king and take me to your room
We will be happy together drink deep
We will lose ourselves in love
(Man)
How beautiful you are my love
How your eyes shine with love
The look in your eyes my sweetheart
And bride have stolen my heart
Your love delights me my sweetheart
My love how perfect you are
Let me come in my darling
I have entered my garden
What a magnificent girl you are
(Woman)
I belong to my lover
And he desires me
Close your heart to every love but mine
Hold no one in your arms but me
My lover know that with him
I find contentment and peace
His mouth is sweet to kiss
Everything about him enchants me
(Man)
Turn your eyes away from me they
Are holding me captive
But I love only one
She is as lovely as a dove
I am trembling you have
Made me as eager for love
You my love excite me
As a mare excites the stallions
What a magnificent girl you are
I will admit my vocals do not do the song justice (plus I am singing both parts) I never claimed to be a singer anyway.. The Lord Willing, in 2019 I plan to write a ton of Orchestral music. Go to YouTube and Type in: 1988 grove school of music or: DVD Video Recording Title1 online video cutter com (Remember that was 30 years ago) Keep Yourselves in the Love of God...Peace Out...Michael!! PS. I found this in my Musical Archive Vault.

Went digging in the Archives and came across a song written in June of 2011. Philippians 4:1-8. I do not remember what I was going through when the Lord gave me this melody, but apparently I was going through some tough times. So I leave your with this: JUDE 1:21. Keep yourselves in the Love of God. May the Prince of Peace reign in your life. Peace Out. Michael!!

Hello, Everyone, I hope you are doing well. Back in the archives again and came across Matthew 26:26-29 which I named "The Communion Song." I have come up with new design for the "Lion" I gave my non-artist sketch to an Artist who is right next door to me. He took my design. I have seen his work and it is amazing what talents God has given ordinary people to better link. Like the Bible says in the Book of James. "Keep yourselves in the love of God" I'm still too lazy to look the verse up! Peace Out!! Michael!!

I Heard a preacher on the radio talking about David versus Goliath. He quoted the Scripture 1 Samuel 17:45. When I heard it I said, "Hey, I have that" So I went into the Archives and found it... and here it is!! I also grabbed Psalm 41: 1-4. I need to dig through the Archives more often. There was some talk about a Fine Print reunion . . .and that all it was . . . talk. If I am not mistaken I do believe I have a song from every book in the Bible. Another BY THE WAY. Sometimes I just post songs without notice. Sometimes I cannot wait for he next email to go out. Oh, well, that's just me. Thank You to Everyone who has and listens. Thank You to people who have promoted my music. Thank You to people who have subscribed. I leave you with this: Keep yourselves in the love of God. I do believe that quote is from James...I'm too lazy to look it up. Peace out!! Michael!!

To all of my Brothers and Sisters who listen. I thank You!! I will be working on producing a couple of videos for YouTube. I found a video of me at the Dick Grove School of Music. I am in the process of putting it on link might take a while because I am still learning how to deal with all of this technical stuff. I will let you know. So. Stay In God or as the Bible says. keep yourselves in the Love of God. Bye!! Michael!! Oh, yeah, the Four songs are: Luke14647: Heb1115: Eph41732 and Matt1126 Bye Again.

Back in the DAY 1983-85. I was in a band called "Fine Print" Moby Walker came up with the name. “The message is in the music all you have to do is read the Fine Print.”
The Fine Print band was as follows. Donald Walker on Drums. Moby Walker on Congas and Percussion. Matthew Thornton on Flute and Percussion. Jim (Hoogie) Korf on Bass. Lispert Dowdell on Alto-Saxophone and Flute. Rhea Harvey on Vocals. Wanda Peake on Vocals and Hank (can't remember his last name to save my life I want to say Harvey also. And me Michael Smith on Keyboards and the Writer of the songs except one that Matthew Thornton wrote. This Particular song PSALM 6 Highlights Rhea Harvey on Vocals.
This Fine Print band had a sound that was quite different in the Gospel circles. A lot of that sound was shaped by the music we listened to as kids and teenagers growing up. Soul, Jazz, a lot of Jazz, R&B Rythym and Blues for those who do not know what that means. Rock, Funk, Latin, Raggae and variations of all the styles mentioned. The best compliment we ever received was "You guy's sound like WAR with female vocals.”
This song, “Psalm 6” is from the Second Album or Fine Print 2. When we recorded Fine Print 1, Lispert Dowdell was not in the band. When he did join, I will admit, Lis was one reason the music shifted more to the Jazz side. The second reason is that I took a sememster at Duquesne Music School and learned some basic Jazz chords. Those chords enabled Lis to run free and stretched out the vocals into the music everyone was familiar with. Like I said, the difference between FP1 and FP2 was the Jazz Shift. I plan to put both of the Fine Prints on Itunes. By the way, a Presbyterian church gave us our only VENUE. I fugured it was the music, but then I figured it was because of the Scripture songs we played.
Our style was never Gospel. We were just ... FINE PRINT. Michael Smith
