Hello and Happy Halloween to everyone! It truly is one of our favourite times of the year. In celebration we've pulled a recording from the archive crypt. "Where Evil Grows" was a song recorded by a Canadian band called The Poppy Family in 1970. In 2008 we recorded a cover of that song to be included with the debut release. In the end it didn't fit the vibe of the album and was shelved. Here it is as our Halloween present to you! You can also check out the lyric video (expired link) released today. He took a chance on us and has released the Spanish version of our song "Reprieved" on national radio station (expired link) . We are super grateful and excited he has given us the opportunity to have our music heard in Latin America. This is the lyric video to support that song produced by lead singer, Kike Valderaama of the band Head Crusher (expired link) from Colombia and talented graphic designer and drummer Danny Molina of the band Total Death hailing from Ecuador. Secondly we are super proud to be sharing new music with you soon! With song titles like "Disruptor" and "The Darker Side Of Me" this new batch of songs will be some of our best yet. For now check out the Spanish Lyric video we did for our song "Reprieved." It's playing at Colombian National Radio right now and is beginning to sweep across Latin America. TheMightyOne was created by Tim Steinruck in 2008. His former band Unchained was able to secure a multi million record deal with Polygram records and Paul Stanley of Kiss in the early 90's. Childhood dreams come true for sure!
The emergence of grunge purged those hair metal dreams but Tim took the golden experiences of working with Mr. Stanley and Kiss and infused them into his own brand of creativity.
In 2007 the Devin Townsend Project began rehearsing in the recording studio he had built in Vancouver, Canada and he enlisted Devin and the band to help produce and perform tracks on the first (expired link). record.
The debut album garnered 3 chart topping singles at North American radio and the video for "Reprieved" became a staple at Canadian video station Much Loud.
The single "Waiting For You" from the sophomore release SHiFT was purchased by the NHL and Sirius XM to promote the return of Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburg Penguins after his concussion.
Right now TheMightyOne has a Spanish version of "Reprieved" is in regular rotation at national radio in Colombia with the intention of building a Latin American audience.
There is also a new album in pre production! With some newer, heavier sounds and song titles like "The Darker Side of Me" and "Disruptor" initial feelings are it has potential to be the most powerful yet.
