Hello there!
Things have been moving forward quite more slowly than I anticipated. Honestly though, it's my fault for wanting make more than music. Other things have also happened that I think is worth bringing up, because it changes how I'll be releasing stuff.
So... instead of waiting for the comic to finish up, I'll be releasing music onto n1m in order as they get done. When I finish and release other content (mainly comics and videos) that relates to the songs, then I'll release the music onto Spotify, Apple Music, etc.
Therefore I'm excited that my first announcement is the release of new music! This Friday, I'll be releasing Mountains of Boder, continuing the story of the Chaotic Chronicles.
I have also been working with Dillan Kulczycki on a side project called ForestLør. Extreme metal with a comedic spin on the supernatural. Stay tuned for that in the next couple of weeks.
The next announcement is the Chaotic Chronicles video series. The premise behind the videos is to expand the world that the music of The Minstrel is about. It's a self funded thing at the moment, and all I've done is some test shots (the real reason behind my delays) so I can't say for sure when the first video will be released. I'll be sure to keep you up to date.
My third announcement is that merch is drawing near! After I was asked about it, I started taking that more seriously, and should have a simple t-shirt with The Minstrel logo on it in my store sooner rather than later! I'll make a more official announcement once it's up in the store!
The last announcement is regarding my Facebook page. I started that page in 2012, long before I found my style as The Minstrel. That page has gone through some big branding changes, and has been the guinea pig for a bunch of trial and error on how to engage with fans that enjoy my music. Because of the trial and error, my Facebook page doesn't have much engagement (and I don't engage with it well), it doesn't properly reflect what The Minstrel is now, and it got banned from advertising from what I believe are past mistakes.
Because of that, I've decide I'm going to delete The Minstrel Facebook page and start it up again under the same name. I'm going to be doing that before Friday, so that I can announce Mountains of Boder on there on Friday.
The next couple of weeks should be pretty eventful, so stay tuned!
Take care,
Merrick, The Minstrel.
