About The Red Desert

Four experienced musicians have come together for a singular purpose -- to resurrect rock music. The Red Desert formed in 2008 in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. The bassist and guitarist of the legendary local rock band 'Disgruntled Postal Workers' teamed up with two other musicians who were very interested in working with them. The lineup was finalized in August of that year and the group immediately began writing original music and playing live shows. The response received from their performances had been sensational, and inspired them to release an album on New Years Eve of '08.

They are currently promoting "Playing Scared", a 6 song, 30 minute EP that was completely produced, engineered and recorded by the band themselves. The Red Desert can be seen all over Ocean County, as they plan to expand their live territory. There is new music being written and played out all the time by the band, making each live show a new and refreshing experience.

If rock is dead, it's about to be reincarnated.
