The Rick Ray band

There are a few cuts on this site from The Rick Ray Band that kind of sum up what we're doing. Although there is a lot more to this band than what you can hear on N1M. We are in the process of recording a new album, number 36 in our catalog. The work on this is coming along quite well, some of which will be available here when released.

At the end of 2020, The Rick Ray Band released it's 35th album, "Acrylic Charlie". Have had some pretty great concerts so far in 2021 and we're hard at work on our 36th album. The Rick Ray Band is a four piece Psychedelic Progressive Hard Rock Fusion band out of the Cleveland Ohio area. They recently released their 35th album and are hard at work at number 36. Dave "Shaggy" Snodgrass - Bass and Vocals, Kip Volans - Drums and Percussion, Rick "Sarge" Schultz - Reeds and Wind Synth, Rick Ray - Guitars and Vocals.

A personal guarantee from The Rick Ray Band: this will be one of the greatest concerts you will ever see and hear...Captain Beyond is one of the greatest bands to have ever been on earth!!! A must see concert.

Most likely the last concert of the year for The Rick Ray Band, as we'll be going into the studio after this to record our new album, which has been in the works for "5 1/2 years"...I could write a book on what has kept this album from getting done but it is "finally" being recorded.

TriElement from St. Charles West Virginia, a progressive rock outfit and The Rick Ray Band will be sharing the stage at Wilbert's in downtown Cleveland on Friday November 11th, 2016. Parking for Wilbert's is at Bolivar and East 9th.

Wally Spisak is back on bass in The Rick Ray Band and the band at this point in time is absolutely "on fire". The attatched video is from the Agora, October 1st, 2016 when we opened for King's X. Drew Losch video taped this gig.

The Rick Ray Band performs its last concert of 2015 at Wilbert's, 812 Huron Road, Downtown Cleveland, Ohio. Friday, 12/11/15 at 9pm. We will be performing cuts from our upcoming album which we will start recording in January 2016...finally. This album has been in the works for a long time. It'll be good to finally get this recorded and released.

Working hard on the new Rick Ray Band album, tentatively titled "Killing Time". I could write a book about the things that have prevented this album from getting done...but it's moving along nicely now. It should be released in the summer of 2015 if everything goes according to plan. The song attached is not from the upcoming album but from a previous release.

The Rick Ray Band is in the process of recording a new album. This has been in the works for quite a while and should prove to be Rick's best yet. This Rick's 33rd album and when it's released a notice will be sent out.
