About The Spaz Project

I began DJing in 1992. Before I was even old enough to buy a cocktail in the nightclubs, I was performing in them as a DJ. From nightclubs residencies to private bookings to full-on raves, my love of the music took hold, and I needed to share it with the world. By the end of the 90s, my love of music was so rich, that I began producing my own. Within two years, I had formed a group with friends, Sozo and Spyrit, and had numerous online chart toppers within the genres of trance and house music under the name . In 2002, released their debut album, As time passed, my musical style became harder, and I delved into hard dance music under the stage name DARXIDE. In 2012, I signed with Canada’s main hard dance label, Overdrive Canada Digital, based out of Ottawa. Wanting to diversify my sound, I not only took on a new name for my trance releases, TAYLORDRIVE, but also began dabbling in a couple house and dubstep music projects, taking on the names ROSS GAETZ and HIZENBERG respectively, as well as toying with some music under a parody pop-dance alias, CELL OWGHT, and synthwave under the name MIAMI BY MIDNIGHT. Most recently, I have begun experimenting with 8D audio and will be releasing those under the moniker, 8DHD. All these aliases shall be represented here. Welcome to The Spaz Project.
