The Streamliners
It's been a while since we reported anything but then again, we haven't had a whole lot to report. That's changed a little bit recently as we've entered one of our songs in the CBC Music Searchlight competition. Fans are invited to visit the CBC Music Searchlight site and vote each day. You can actually vote for a maximum of ten artists.
We've been sending out reminders to our friends and fans each day as well as posting on our Facebook page. There is also a link to the site on our website.
We hope you'll take the time to vote for us. The first round of the competition ends on Sunday, April 6th. We'll find out then if we advance.

About The Streamliners
Steeped in traditional blues and yet still putting their own stamp on the genre, The Streamliners are gaining a large following. Their music ranges from Delta to Chicago style blues with a touch of We The Streamliners consist of (expired link). Smith (harp, bass & vocals), Roy Dawson, (bass & vocals), Earl Dow (drums and backing vocals) and Travis Furlong (guitar & vocals). Based on the border of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, menbers of The Streamliners have many years of experience in performing and (in recent years) writing.
Formed in 1999, The Streamliners have been playing together all over the Maritimes ever since with their harmonica heavy style that is all blues. Each a strong musician in their own right, the band came together as a force at festivals, and has been invited to play with some local music heavyweights.
Their first CD, entitled "Lucky", was recorded live in the studio because the band wanted the listener to hear what audiences hear at each performance ... that "live" sound.
