About The Whirlwind Band
The Whirlwind Band was founded by Woody Anderson in 1981 as a country-rock band. The band has expanded it's musical tastes over the years to include classic-rock, Southern-rock, blues-rock, jazz-rock and rockabilly.

Al joined Whirlwind in 2016, having previously played with Woody in Bluesend, a blues-rock band. Al plays searing guitar leads, bottleneck guitar, and sings lead and backup vocals. He is Whirlwind's instrumental specialist. Al has also played with The Sterling Silver Band, Bluesend, and The Cruisers.

Hal
Hal hails from Atlanta where he went to school and learned how to play guitar. He played in several local Atlanta area bands before moving across the country and begain playing in Seattle area bands. Hal was playing in the band Fog when Woody heard him perform. When Fog broke up, Hal began playing with The Whirlwind Band in the 1990s.

The Whirlwind Band has performed throughout Washington State for the past 35 years. The band has opened for Johnny Paycheck, Sky Saxon (The Seeds), and The Howard Leese Band (Heart). The current band has perfotmed in Kent, Kenmore, Puyallup, Seattle, Graham and Tacoma for the past 5 years.
