Nashville here I come!
I hope you’re doing well! Spring is springing an I’m beginning a new chapter in my life. I’m excited to tell you that I’m moving to Music City - Nashville, Tennessee!
When I get there I’ll be working on finishing a LiKe BiRdS album with Rich Goldberg. We only got about half finished with the record, in New York. Rich and his wife recently moved to Nashville. They teased me for a year to move down there and how much I’d love living there.
So, I took a trip to see if Nashville is really a good fit for me. I absolutely love it there.
It truly is Music City and the vibe is very cool and kind of laid back. It’s much, much different from New York! I’m gonna have to learn how to slow myself down for sure.
Moving is stressful and I’m going to miss New York and my loved ones here very much. I feel excited, but it’s bittersweet at the same time. It’s kind of scary, like diving from a high diving board, but I look forward to finding new, fun, creative and productive experiences and relationships in my new home.
Realistically, I won’t have the studio back up and running again until June. Recording studios have always been a sanctuary to me for as long as I can remember. Not having my rig for a few months is hard, but getting back to work in the new room will be sweet! There are gigs everywhere m, so I’ll definitely be playing live with LiKe BiRds as well!
