They are currently recording with Dario Deni at Eden Studios, who has worked with It was on the tenth anniversary of Kurt Cobain’s death that Tomboy stumbled onto the stage for the first time. Nervous, under rehearsed and rushed, when the band played their final chord they hurried off to sombre, unmemorable and distant applause. But there was something – a certain chemistry – that drew people to watch that evening. It was from this moment on, that Tomboy realised they are a live band which the public will always remember…..
It was for nine months that Tomboy fought to gain some sort of audience. In the New Year of 2005, brothers Duncan & Ollie acknowledged that they were not the band they wanted to be & began to work with friends Paul & Adam to create a new sound combining their influences of Bowie , Radiohead, The Doors and Pulp with new music from bands such as The Killers, Kaiser Chiefs and Bloc Party. Since that day, Tomboy have emerged into a pop band which not only entertains, but transforms curious onlookers into avid fans, and most importantly, provide contagious enjoyment to each & every member of their audience……
