About Tomboy Tay

Tomboy Tay (formally known as TAY ROZAY) is a 25 year old female rapper from Washington, DC. Born February 27, 1989 in Maryland, Chantay Kittrell (Tomboy Tay) was born loving music. Throughout school, Tay played many instruments including trombone, violin, guitar and drums which makes her love for music run deeper. Raised by her grandmother, Tay wanted more from the world and left her surburban Maryland home to find her own way in mean streets of Washington, DC. Struggling to find herself and money, she began to rob local drug dealers where she became known. After robbing someone when undercover officers were looking, Tay was arrested and charged with Robbery and Assault, where she had a stint in the Montgomery county correctional facility. During incarceration she began to write. write about everything, what she'd see, heard, done, or even wanted. and those rhymes became, "Born to lose, built to win" which she never released. After release Tay was featured on DMV female cypher, World Star Hip Hip, and is slowly rising up the DC music todem pole. ?Her music is fun, catchy, different and most of all well crafted with a heavy sense of struggle.
