The Wretched One Is...

Strings outline the rock beat while crunchy and open electric guitars drive it home to frame the vocals of this Canadian artist Tony Poirier. He's been described as a "one-man-band", because he plays all the instruments. You got to give him credit for that. The Drums are solid and driving, guitars are strong and ably played. The vocals tell of a "wretched one... but it's not someone he describes, rather it seems someone describes HIM as the "wretched one". But h' not buying it. This is a nice song and a well put together production. I look forward to hearing more from this talented songwriter and artist.

mystery

As I heard the music sound, I was imagined a film of James Bond, though the lyrics I am not able to understand well cause I speak other language, I am not going to review lyrics and voice. The sound track is strong and deep, it starts with mystery and hooks up, it keeps that mystery with joy along the middle, just a bit repeated pitches but well covered, for me I would have done that moment before the end shorter. The end well done, a good finish still keeping the mystery from the beginning to the end.

Gives off that Rocky Horror picture show vibe from back in the day. Very much enjoyed. Clean tracks as well as a good tight mix. Looking forward to hearing more from Tony. Very well put together will diffinately recommend

Nice song. Strong music and pretty good vocal track. I like the string effect of sweeping chords. Smeagol vocal style is a nice crazy effect. Lord of the Rings and more. Gret stuff. All the best Pete

Rocky Song

This song has a lot of influence from the 80's. The vocals could be better, but for the time being the vocals are fine. It sounds kind of european, the arrangements are not very original, it follows the same parameters of so many 80 soft rock song that we like so much.

Nice 80's song.

The songs starts, and theme grabs me. Discreet synths and guitar, nice mix. prepair to pre chorus...straight but blends well. Modulation in refrain... it's reminds me Deep Purple in Steve Morse era (refrain only). Now is repeating again...You sung a bit drag this time. Now is the right time for a guitar solo... It's ok,but not brings the highlight as it could. Now approachs to the end, strings reinforces the final session; a short keyboard solo, fits well. It's a nice 80's song,my only observation is the guitar solo could be more eloquent. Nice job ! Congrats.

Leper's Review

I really enjoyed 'The Wretched One', a story about Gollem (probably spelling this wrong) from Lord of the Rings series. My favorite part was definitely the solo/bridge, it got me to start nodding my head while I listened. The song has a nice beat that is peaceful and then picks up during the chorus, sounds really great. A small thing that is a bit rough, though it could be the singer trying to sound like Gollem, but the singing sometimes is out of tune with the music, not a lot but slightly and its really noticeable on sustained notes. Its just a small thing though so take it for a grain of salt if you wish. It sounds amazing, the slow to fast paced sound is awesome, keep up the great work! Subscribed!

Hi I liked your tune, it had passion and was well arranged / recorded. Not that i need to compare you to anyone, but your style reminds me of Duran Duran, and I hope you take it as a compliment as they were one of my favourite bands growing up. They have chieved a lot! It could also be a Bond movie tune :-) Keep shiining! Consu (consu dot uk)
