SIX YEARS AGO, I HAD AN IDEA to amalgamate my different musical styles into a concept album. In 2018, The Yeshua Tree was born: the first of a three-part series showcasing the pop-rock, dance and acoustic genres. Five years later in April of 2023, finally The Yeshua Tree 2 is released! Says broadcast journalist and CR reviewer, John Cheek, ‘the second “Tree” is full of fruit that has clearly ripened and matured and now provides a sumptuous feast of tasty dishes that can, at times, be described as Christian goth…
‘The first three tracks, the Dance Club Branch, contain prime examples of deep house that takes the listener on a journey to the dancefloor and beyond, evoking personal and spiritual horizons and bringing things long-residing in the back of your mind to the forefront of your reflections…’
Other branches on volume 2 include Christian Goth, Bonus and Special Branch. Says John,

Dear all extremely valued fans and listeners of my music,
I have been subscribed to N1M Gold, but I sadly feel I can’t renew because due to other commitments of work etc, I’ve not been able to utilise the marketing tool I’ve paid for, as I’d hoped... I also have some media projects I’m involved with this year, one main one being a video for a single I am releasing in October. So my assets are running a bit dry at the moment too. Dear Beautiful Peops,
I want to thank you from my heart for subscribing to my music. I received a very encouraging message off a fan-friend earlier, which caused me to share about why I struggle to get my music out to the masses and earn more of a living off of it. As a result, I thought I'd reach out to you all and share where I'm at in the hope that some of you may know someone, or perhaps even yourself, who can help. No matter how small the offering might be, if you are inspired to help with any aspect that would be wonderful! The ocean is made up of many drops hey!
...I think those who make it, manage to get a team to focus on them - a manager who is passionate about their music. I wonder if people in the industry out there don't know what to do with my Bjork/Florence & The Machine type style! And as a Christian, there will be non-Christian folk in the industry who won't want to touch me! I'm still reaching out to find that manager/bookings manager who feels passionate about what I do and wants to help me reach the masses... I am focusing on recording my next ep project, but I do have two extra things I am working on presently - I have a single I am releasing at the end of October that I wish to be able to get out to the masses somehow and the second item is reaching out to music directors of film. I dearly would love my music to feature in a film. Part of my The Yeshua Tree EP series has an Ibiza focus, so I will also be needing to concentrate on giving a push into that audience at some point. I think probably that will be my next focus after I have done my October single...

OK - it's time I did a revamp on my profile! OK - I'm getting serious now! :D I have uploaded new photos of myself with my band Trace & The Resonators, the new EP banner and pic and I am going to be upgrading very soon so I can upload my latest song snippets for you.
Thanks to ALL who have encouraged me over the last few years, getting in touch with me to say hi, how you love my music and wanting to buy my tunes. I am looking forward to reaching a lot more beautiful folk. Latest news: I've had a great 9/10 review of The Yeshua Tree, my first of 3 EP's of the series, on Cross Rhythms ((expired link)) and I'm beginning to get regular airplay on a number of stations now. So that is great. Trace + The Resonators are looking forward to playing at KingsStock Festival's 10 year anniversary this August, set in a lovely rural setting around Cambridgshire, UK, and performing at Chesil Rocks, south of England, in June, amongst many other gigs throughout the year to include house gigs, festivals, pubs... I will endeavour to keep you up to date!

I Trust you are well :D
Amidst studying and event organising this year, I have been popping into the studio to work on my next recording projects, which are a real treat following on from my debut of 2015. It's taking a long time to build, but I am enjoying the process. If you're ever in Stoke-on-Trent, England and want to do a recording project, Shaun at Prism Studios is fantastic - and he's a Sony award winner - so it gives you an idea of his expertise and workmanship.
I hope to have at least two tracks to release to you for Christmas - a Christmas single would be nice! I have included a soundcloud link below that gives you a snapshot of one of them.
Another event I am excited about, is hooking up with Pete T (bassist) to discuss next year. 2018 is a year of hitting the road and taking the music (expired link)....

UK Cheshire based Singer-songwriter and musician TRACE TAYLOR, stepped out in 2013 as an independent artiste after playing the band circuit for some years. The love of song-writing starting from age 11 and since then Trace has been honing her craft, finally coming to a place of recording her songs. Having released her stepping-stone debut EP project 'Trinity' in 2013, Trace completed her debut album 'IT IS FINISHED' released in Passover of 2015 and since then has completed two of a three part series showcasing her many branches of song-writing, called The Yeshua Tree. The albums are available to buy as MP3s on iTunes and other online stores, or in CD format via (expired link)
Trace and her band make up a well honed outfit of guitars, keyboards, bass and drums merging electro sounds with the rock/pop/folk genres.
As an acclaimed performer, Trace is well known for her performances and stage presence emanating energy, engagement and heart. She is often thought to be similar to Annie Lennox, Alanis Morrisette, Florence Welch, with a little of Kate Bush.
Trace's heart is to lead people into an encounter with the Living God of Love, through Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
