Please don't take this the wrong way but when it first started I got a flashback 20+ years to an old secular song by Thomas Dolby - Weird Science. I lo!ve how God can make anything work and His light is definitely shining in your work here Travis. Please keep writing music for Gods Glory as we are experiencing a gross darkness over mankind

I immediately wanted to party when the song started. Intro is a little Rocky and Upbeat like House Music. Vocals are not too clear, in some spots I don't understand the words and can't hear them clearly. Overall, the song arrangement is pretty good for Club Nite out for Dancing. I was waiting for James Brown to say 'Maceo Hit It'. With the Huh! in the Background "Give me that" I here no Christian Lyrics in the song at all. I don't hear the Blues either - Not a sad song. I can say, the Song is Good and wish you all the Best with your Music Career.

Hi. You have a beautiful song - I like the title, makes me want to give it a try. I also like the fact that you don't have a long introduction I'm not a Rock musician but I get a feeling like the bass was stifled in this song especially after the guitar comes in - Do another mix with the bass turned up higher and it will create a bottom for the other instruments and your voice as well. Also the lyrics are not very clear in some parts - Jamming a little harmony on the punch lines could encourage your listeners to sing along and help them remember the song. I find that most conservative Christians prefer worship phrases - like Praise the lord, amen, Hallelujah, Oooo, oh, raise your hands, lift your hand, lift your voice, stand up etc than some of the ones you used like hu, hey, gi mi dat.... those phases cheers the singer but most people who like praise and worship songs like phrases that praise the Lord or inspire others to do so. This is cool Christian soft rock by Travis Nay, and well played, especially on guitar. The lyrics carry a good message and the lead vocal is steady and no-frills. There are a lot of synthetic sounds, which I don't usually like, but in this production, they work. The drums, strings, and brass are all synthetic sounding, but they are performed with real skill and passion, so it works. The bridge brings the lyrical passion up to a peak. I would love to hear angelic harmonies on the bridge, especially the phrase, "city set on a hill." I like the song and the way it is performed, but unfortunately, somebody had the bright idea to put a voice in the background going "Hoo!" like it has been hit in the stomach, over and over again, along with "Hey!" and "Gimme dat!" in growly, satanic voices, sprinkled throughout the entire song. This was just one idea too many. It conflicts with the message of the song, and greatly distracts from both the lyrics and the musical performances. Extremely annoying, and blocks the door to an otherwise good song.

Songs like this is what we need to encourage people who are going through in these bad times. Don't manner what you are going through, we have to have strong hands to help lift your follow man up out of the bad and negative times we are having.. Let your light shine before men. Let's pray for one another and have the faith to go through.

Floyd Knobs, Indiana’s Travis Nay has produced a fun and motivational tune called Let Your Light Shine. The song features some quirky synth brass and spoken word effects on top of a solid electronic rhythm track.

I got into this one. Right off the top, there's a musically sophisticated approach to having a lot of fun with this tune. Immediately reminds me of early Carman. Well recorded as I've come to expect from Travis. Not much depth required of the lyric with the simple message. The tight wonderful horn section puts the finish on this so everything works. Seems like it would be a good time if you were to be at a concert. Good job guys. Only 4.8 because nobody's perfect except Jesus.

I listen Your song 3 times trying to found something good in It..is just my opinion.. but is to static not much going on ..I like some parts of Guitar play..Vocal part is "without feeling" seem like the singer just do "The Job"..if I be You I will try to rerecord it with much better arrangement and vocal.. as it is I do not see to be played on the Radio.. They are looking for something special with Radio Ready Quality Recording.. Music Publishers rejected many much better songs than Yours.. well try to pitch It to Them and I think They will agree with Me.. Good Luck with submissions...

I got drawn into this song very quickly as its energy was upbeat and fun. The music was a jazzy rock funk which when combined with the lyrics gave you the feel to get up and let your light shine!
