I always loved listening to a preacher that would say "Don't trust me about what I'm saying, look into the Word and read it for yourself!!!! Excellent message with a great percussion to carry the lyrics for the vocal. I liked the repetition of the chorus. You have a great talent in pairing the music t the song lyric to make it a message to mankind for Christ. I loved the gutiar electric and the backing vocal too. I hope it is one of the Top Hits for your Genre. I think it should be. The musical composition is more Rock than usual and I liked the whole sound of this song. Full impact for unbelievers. Just minutes ago i was thinking on that a lady said to me she read the whole HOLY BIBLE 2 1/2 time about to now now she is a faithful Christian from a young girl she is now around 80 years old and i was amazed to know that she only read it that much because i read it at least 1000 x or so? not sure how much truly? but just say a lot of time and i am only 53 today and began my reading about 21 years old so i am wondering about all others how many times did they read it? i just remembered my uncle used to read only i verse a day anyway i stress the point when we read it at 1st it should be from start to finish like a book is read from the time we get up to the time we go to bed until our study is over that is how much i read it after that we be very good in understanding it and know the scripture that says in the future says the LORD i shall place and pin the law (word) in there minds and hearts which he did for me after the above and after i prayed thus i now know it off by heart i do not need to carry all those stone tablets or text books to church say we were in the old days i just bring myself and know it off by heart for this reason and more i believe your song READ THE BOOK tittle is a must for all people to awake and read it for a long time then pray as i said above now your song was fantastic well done A+ 100% perfect score i believe so i gave you top rating GOD says in the holy bible study the word of GOD to be shown approved by him.

Travis Nay's recording of "Read the Book" is a solid rock-and-roll number, with outstanding lead guitar and bass performances. The band is tight and the beat driving. The message is a lament of self-righteousness and judgmental finger-pointing in Protestant denominations, appropriate at all times, since it is never-ending, and an urgent call to read the Bible for yourself and form your own opinions, presumably so you can know where to point your own finger. I add this last phrase because of the compulsive quality of the lyrics. "You better read the book" and "You've gotta look deep inside" push the listener, rather than pull. The truth is, even when we have read the book for ourselves, it lends itself to radically different interpretations, because it is so very deep. Even more to the point, the Mind of God is so infinitely greater than our own, that even when we have read the entire Book and meditated on it at great length, no one of us, and no group of us, can ever claim to know The Whole Truth, and so we need to humbly accept that others may always disagree, and may be right. I would love to hear Travis address this deeper issue in song, now that he is engaging with this dimension of the Christian walk.

Travis Nay is a polished entertainer so there is little to criticize when he releases a track. The productions that we have become accustomed to hearing from him are good work. I have often felt that the weakest link of this artist was his lyrics, but in this case, he makes the strongest message I've heard from him yet. Worth a listen. I have heard stronger melodies from him than this one but I am very encouraged to hear something like this from Travis.

I'm not so sure about Your song I have a mix reaction..it is a Nice Melody.. but need to be worked on the Lyric...because..
