About Unction- Groove Interface

“Unction” is a Inspirational Music Band brought together around 2015 in Inglewood CA. They play most of their music in the Los Angeles area, usually in Inspirational/ Motivational settings.

Led by Samuel Brown, they have taken contemporary Christian music styles and blended blended them with R&B, Rock, Funk, with Blues musical riffs and phrasing. Their initial song Victory Ballad, was their 1st release. Brown is accompanied by vocalist Marcie Brown, his wife of 38 years, as well as his daughter Nicole (featured on the solo in Victory Ballad), and his son Bryce on percussion. Also Jamie Quillen later joined the group, rounding out the vocal section.

The music and instrumentation for Unction is powered by “Groove Interface”, a mostly instrumental music collaboration band trio. Groove Interface is headed up by Brown the lead guitarist... with the electric bass accompaniment of Brent Shelton. Brown’s son Bryce, is on percussion. Brown's digital mixing creations and enhancements tops off their unique style.

Groove Interface’s 1st release called “Let Go“, captures their influence on both groups. The music and vocal arrangements are produced and published by PraiseOne Music, where Brown is CEO with the occasional assistance of “The District LLC” a music production studio in Torrance CA.
