"Merry Christmas Darling" is a wonderfully written song for the holidays. The performance and composition is just right, and the singer's accent goes nicely with the song. This is the kind of song that a person would sit around the fireplace and listen to with their loved one. The song seems to be written from the heart and is very touching! Very well articulated lyrical content. A very smooth compilation musically and a serious blend of vocal and tonal quality. Nice to hear a clean cut expression of ones musical prowess as well as the vocal presentation. Ute Schönherr Singer brings us Merry Christmas Darling, a yuletide ballad of hope and joy. From a listener's perspective it is a christmas song pure and simple without pretense. From a producer's perspective, it is a very rich and textural recording full of choral background and a brief woodwind solo. The briefness of the solo among the rest of the work is probably my only issue, albeit a minor one. All and all a quality bluesy/jazzy effort for your listening pleasure.
