Jim Shannon
Jim Shannon is a veteran of the Bay Area music scene and an in-demand bass player and vocalist. Jim began performing with bands in high school and over the years has performed with The Tom Narducci Band, The Marv Hubbard Band (w/ Oakland Raider Marv Hubbard), Even Steven, Little Daddy, James Clarks' tribute to Elvis, Itchy Brother, and Jukebox Heroes, who he still performs with today. Over the years Jim has shared the stage with many of his heroes in the music business and has appeared on the tours of such diverse artists as The Beach Boys, Gregg Allman, Michael McDonald, The Tubes, Huey Lewis, Eric Burdon, Eddie Money, America,The Everly Bros., Dave Mason, Night Ranger, The Guess Who, Steppenwolf, Johnny Lang, The Starship and others. Jim tells a story of the night he opened for Eric Burdon, and after the show Eric actually gave Jim the silver lame' shirt he'd worn on stage. Jim still has that shirt today! Jims' love of music has led him to the Van Burdon Project, whose renditions of these artists songs show the attention to detail resulting in the faithful recreation of the original recordings.

Steve Sandness
Steve Sandness has been active in the Bay Area music scene for the past 22 years. He has performed primarily with the Takin’ Care of Bizness (TCB) Band, James Clark’s Tribute To Elvis, and the Ely Brothers Doubletake 50’s/60’s Rock Show, as well as the Crossroads, Silverado, Aces Wild, Bill Mattimoe, Dick Green, and Bit and Spur country bands. He has also been active as an on-call guitarist. Originally from the Upper Midwest he spent several years playing with Iowa and South Dakota Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame bands Myron Lee & The Caddies and The Talismen. He has previously worked with the other members of the Van Burdon Project in a variety of musical situations and really enjoys the energy, enthusiasm, musicianship, and attention to detail of the Van Burdon Project in bringing to life the music of Van Morrison and Eric Burdon.

Dave Cardoza
Dave Cardoza has been working as a professional musician for many years. During this time he has spent many hours primarily a keyboard player and vocalist performing and recording in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has been actively involved in the evolution of electronic music, composition, and keyboard technology since the late 1960’s. Dave enjoys playing all types of music from big band jazz to hard rock & pop to country. Some of the instruments he has performed with are… Hammond organ, piano, Fender-Rhodes piano and many synthesizers such as; ARP String-Ensemble, ARP Axxe, Mini Moog, Oberhim OBXA, Yamaha DX7, Roland D-50, Kurzweil PC-88, E-mu Proteus, Guitar, and a Mac computer with Musical Instrument Digital Interface MIDI. At the present time he is using; Roland VR-760.D50 and an iPad for live performances. Some of the bands he has worked with in the past include: The "Collective Works" in the 70’s and "Friends with Jim Bedford" in the 80’s & 90"s. Recently Dave has performed with: "The Blues Defenders" a Blues Band, "Outrider" a Hard Rock Band "Silver Spur" a Country Rock Band, "Just Truckin" Now called "The City" "Band of Gold" Standards and Country. "James Clark and the Jail House Rockers" a Tribute to Elvis. Add now with the "Van Burdon Project" Education, Piano at age 6 Trumpet; 4th grade to 1st year of college, enrolled in Band every year. Organ; private lessons at age 11 Jr. High, Started playing in Bands after school with friends. Mid 20’s Private lessons with Don Haas, Composer, Conductor of the Circle Star Theater Orchestra. And a Professor at San Jose State University. Ohlone College, Enrolled and completed almost every music class available from 1970-1999. Performed & Recorded with the... "Ohlone College Evening Jazz Ensemble" for several years. Dave teaches Piano and Keyboard at Allegro Music in Fremont CA. Teaching Philosophy...Music should be fun!
