So I recently came to a very harsh, but thankfully liberating realization a few weeks ago, when I found out, once and for all, that this site, (expired link), is a total fraud, (unfortunately like most of these music promotion websites...) I hate to say it, but its the truth... I have 2557 Total "subscribers" on my page, but I think the real number is about 200-300, maybe... all the rest are "zombie" subscribers that send back broadly vague and generic emails saying, "Your music is so great, i love to listening to ______". I have to admit, I was suspicious a long time ago, but I never really wanted to accept it all. Anyway, I don't think I will be using this site, at least primarily, for very much longer, so I say to all of my TRUE FANS, friend me on Facebook @Cody Gill, (I just use my personal site for everything), or Instagram Veil737, and most of all, my main site where you can see everything in a very elegant manner, go to (expired link) and you'll be in tune with all thats going on. Thanks to all of you guys that are our true listeners and here's a little video of our last live performance at WhiteFire Theatre in So. California. Hello all, finally got the got the video for "Mist" up and loaded on the Youtube. Turned out wonderfully with all the crazy costumes and set design. Many thanks to everyone who helped work on this project, lots of working parts and especially the underwater shots... The show at WhiteFire Theatre was also a success, for which i'll have a few videos, but we're working on a 15 song live album that we're going to release, so lots of stuff is happening. Stay tuned.

So we just wrapped on the 3 day (or night) shoot for the "Mist" video and it was a grand success. Definitely gonna trip some people out... I won't give away many details, but i'll attach a few photos of some of the crap we did throughout the night. Hello all, muchos gracias for all of the love and support. Just wanted to let you know that the video for "Mist" is well under way and it's going to be a hum dinger, let me tell ya... A little taste of what it's going to be like: imagine a Cirque Du Soleil show blended with a Nine Inch Nails video, peppered with some Tim Burton imagery. So bonkers all around.
We've also got a big show coming up on July 2nd at WhiteFire Theatre in Sherman Oaks California, If any of you are going to be around that area... Fantastic show that will be over an hour long and we plan to record to the whole thing, (video and audio), and release it all as a full live album. Don't miss out on this one if you can swing it because it truly is going to be an event. Big things for Veil and a lot of it is because of you guys, many thanks again.

Just got finished with recording "Wax" and "Midnight", two songs iv'e had in my library for quite the time, so I'm glad to be done with 'em. Shipped off and ready to be sold on iTunes and all the others. I must thank all of you guys again for all the support and kind words about Veil, it means a hell of a lot.

(expired link): Next in the works: Shooting a video for "Mist" and "Sundown", and we're FINALLY gonna be playing an epic show at Whitefire Theatre in July, first one in over a year... so that's quite exciting.

The song "Fox" is officially recorded and on the web, ready to be heard. I got a few new people to jam with me on this one. Morgan Gerstmar freakin' nailed the viola, and Tina Huynh provided the lovely flute. Vicki and Isaac crushed the violin and cello, as always, and I got my old chum, Tyler, to come in and do some upright bass. Many thanks again to all you guys supporting Veil.

(expired link): I'm gonna go in and professionally record "Wax" next. Adding a new string section, so that'll be interesting. We're also going to start up the video shoot for "Sundown" in May hopefully, so get ready for that.

So my stuff is finally for sale on a bunch of different sites. You can find it on iTunes or Amazon or (expired link), to name a few. They're uploading each tune individually, so don't be surprised if some of them aren't on there yet. I'm also hoping to get on the radio soon, so thats the next step. Thanks again to all you guys for listening and supporting, Veil keeps growing and growing and I'm taking you guys with me as it comes to fruition.

Gutentag, I can't decide which song to professionally record next. It costs out the ass every time I go in a do it so I need to be doubtless. I'm thinking either "Damned", "Mephistopheles", or "Venice". All pretty damn complicated and epic, but whatever. Which piece would all you guys wanna hear efficiently recorded with real strings and everything? Tell me your thoughts and we'll see what happens in the near future.

Hey everybody, i'm about to go into the studio and professionally record the song "Fox". I'm still trying to get the quartet together and set a date, but the new recording should sound absolutely glorious when it's finished. Once I get that done, my next mission is to get my three main instrumental/classical pieces, Ignis Fatuus, High, and Fox on KUSC radio out here in (expired link). I'm also working on getting everything on iTunes, but that shit is taking forever. Thanks again to you all for the support and I should have that new recording very soon.

Hello all, My cousin and I went up into the mountains a few weeks ago and we shot a nice little video for this piece I've had for awhile. Just pretend you're a mouse or some type of creature...

Also, a lot of you guys have been asking where to buy my music. As for right now... it's all free, since I'm brand new in this world and i didn't feel like charging people when they have no idea who I am. All the songs with the red "EL" next to them are professionally recorded and now ready to be sold, and all the other songs are me in my little apartment with my computer and keyboard. So my mission for this year is to go into the studio and professionally record those other songs, but that shit is expensive... Anyway, that's why i'm doin' the iTunes thing now. I just applied for my ISRC code, so I should be on there in no time. Thanks again you guys for all the support and as always, i'll have more new stuff out soon.
