Venial Sin was formed in late 2008. Characterized by a constant variety the music made by Venial Sin accepts influences from different musical contexts and genres having, however, shown an allegiance to Black/DVENIAL SIN: “Why we should be the Band of the year 2014?”

After showing our sound in Portugal, Spain, England, Austria and Hungary, the band is looking forward to keep rocking new stages!

Venial Sin is a 4-piece band from Portugal with a strange, experimental and eclectic sound. Characterized by a constant variety, accepting influences from different musical spectrums, having however shown an allegiance to Progressive Death Metal | Rock. Focus on melody, which result on the creation of obscure and captivating atmospheres; we create a 100% original sound, avoiding stereotypes!”

Practicing a melodic death metal with touches of progressive rock, a style well and full of eclectic experimentalism, focusing mainly on the melody of their themes that results on the creation of obscure and captivating atmospheres.

In 2009 the band self-released the demo “World Reset”, which songs were included in several worldwide compilations. The live shows started in early 2010 and the band never stooped live performances since then.

In 2012 the band launched an EP “Sphere Of Morality” by Infektion Records, an independent Portuguese label.

The performances for the promotion of this record have elapsed in several festivals in Portugal, Spain, England, Austria and Hungary, totaling more than 40 live shows, while the EP gathered excellent reviews internationally.

The band is currently working on a full-length album and also available for booking international live shows in festivals and live venues.
