VESPERA was born in 2005 in the city of Cluj-Napoca (RO) when Dorin Panduru and Vlad-Ioan Popovici founded a musical project that was meant to reach the metal scene and public nation wide. Vespera was born in 2005 in the city of Cluj-Napoca (RO) when Dorin Panduru (guitar and vocals) and Vlad-Ioan Popovici (bass guitar) founded a musical project that was meant to reach the metal scene and public nation wide. Teodora Barla shortly joined the band, influencing the composition of the whole project to be. She became the lead female vocal in the band, joined by the vocals of Dorin. The line-up also included Andrei Calbajos (keyboards) and Flaviu Satmar (drums).

In the fall of 2006, they performed for the first time in Cluj-Napoca, where they gain a positive feed-back from the public, which encouraged them to continue with their plans for the future and which also brought the attention and support of local known bands and other artists. It’s now when they recorded a Demo which included three of their songs.

The year of 2007 brings Vespera many concerts in various cities from Romania, increasing popularity, fans and friends. The peak of the year was being selected to take part of “Young in Europe – Siviu Meets Deventer” Festival, where they shared the stage with the Dutch band Next Waste Dimention for three days.
