Hello everyone: I finished my CD entitled FLY, named after the song FLY that you may know as Whippoorwill, the name I entered it into N1M originally. The song is the first I've ever sent to a website or anywhere other than having songs on CD's for sale where ever I entertain. The new CD has Western songs and poetry, 6 of each. I wrote all but cut #3, UP FROM TEXAS, written by Jack Overly, a friend of mine, and #5, which I named STRANGER ON THE PLAIN, which is my arrangement to showcase my whistling, of Stranger On The Shore, adapted to make it western.

Hello everyone; Just a quick note to let you know that I am in the process of recording a new CD.
FLY will be included along with a couple of songs featuring whistling, a song by Jack Overly, "Up From Texas." He wrote it as a folk song and it is a great western tune. Another is a poem written by my friend Gary Miller, that I put to music, which I think you'll like. The rest of them, I wrote. I am also including a few poems. Not too many, just enough, I hope, to keep things fresh. I'm hoping to have it available by the first of July, and will keep you posted. Still contemplating a title for the CD. Looking at "WELL DANG", something I say often when things are going awry. "Coyote Moon," the title of the song written by Gary is a possibility as well as "Up From Texas." There may be other names to think about before we're finished.

I eventually became a respiratory therapist, musician, big game guide, workers compensation claims examiner and after moving to Colorado a wrangler on a guest ranch and a member of the Lazy B chuck-wagon wranglers, at the time one of the longest running chuckwagon dinner shows; 43 years. My focus is now on music as a singer/songwriter and as an author. I have written for many publications and a columnist for 5 publications. My column has continued for over 20 years, with a couple of short breaks. I also wrote a novel entitled "GHOST BEAR ISLAND," which became, at the time, the publishers biggest success. I have been so amazed at the success, on N1M, of Whippoorwill, also known as FLY and I thank you for your support of the song.
