Female indie rock band with male lead vocals from Honolulu, Hawaii. Formed in December 2010, Virgin Mary is the newest rock band to emerge from Honolulu. Blending styles and cultures, their music continually pushes boundaries to create something new and innovative. They released their debut album Ecstasy in September 2011 to rave reviews. They have performed at venues across Hawaii, including Hawaii Theater and Pipeline Cafe, and opened for artists such as Owl City, Everclear, and Seattle rock legends The Posies. They are currently working on a music video and booking a summer 2012 tour, while playing steadily across Oahu.
