Lets Go Baby

Wayne Aguilllard brings us Lets Go Baby, a fins fan favorite in the vein of Jimmy Buffet. From a listener's perspective, this is a classic throwback to a much simpler time in music. From a producer's perspective there are a couple issues in the mix. First and foremost the lead vocal and rhythm guitar are in a constant fight during the lyrics. Some automation to lower the guitar while the vocalist is singing during the verse and allowing it to build up slowly to the chorus to help with the dynamics of the song. I would have also given it a bit of a drummers pre-count intro, but that is a subjective if not formative trick. There are also many key parts in the song where just a little bit more imaginative drum fills or accents would have helped elevated the song. These are the key differences between a rating of 3.5 and 4.5 in my book.
